Research and educational innovations

Long before AhMath, the same questions were being worked on: how to give students practice, feedback and challenge, and how to see their learning clearly.

From Ellipse to : An Evolution of Educational Ideas

Between 2007 and 2012, as co-founder of Ellipse Training and Consulting, Ahmet Arduc built and tried a series of online learning tools in Türkiye. These early projects reflect a long-standing interest in using technology to improve teaching and learning. Many of the educational challenges explored through Ellipse—such as live online teaching, homework tracking, assessment and immediate feedback—remain central to the AhMath vision. Today's AhMath products were independently developed years later, without shared code or a direct product lineage.

What links each pair below is the educational question, taken up again with today's tools.

Student research mentoring

He has advised secondary-school students on original mathematics research projects for national competitions in Türkiye, including the TÜBİTAK Secondary School Mathematics Research Project Competition and the Salih Zeki Mathematics Research Project Competition.

  • 2012: projects placed first in the Marmara-Europe region of TÜBİTAK and were recognised at the national final.

  • 2014: Regularity from Irregularities: Equilateral Triangle on a Scalene Triangle, incentive award at the Salih Zeki competition.

He also wrote A Guide for Mathematics Projects, a handbook distributed to participants in the International Mathematics Project Competition in İzmit, and organised school mathematics exhibitions, clubs and model-based mathematics spaces.
